Establishing an Audio Environment with Original Sound
Today’s article focuses on setting up the “Original Sound” feature in Zoom.
Recently, many businesses have been offering various lessons using Zoom. Use this guide to create a better environment.
Reasons for Implementing Original Sound
The reasons for implementing Zoom’s Original Sound in online lessons include:
- To turn off the “Limiter” which seems to control the volume above a certain level.
- To capture the nuances of subtle sounds.
These are the main reasons for its implementation. Please note that introducing Original Sound may reduce the microphone volume, so check it regularly.
Three Steps to Check
There are mainly three points to check this time. Once set, these settings will generally be applied in the future.
Step1: Audio Settings
First, let’s look at Zoom’s settings. After launching the app, you can select the settings button from the home screen.
Step2: Original Sound for Musicians
Next, open the audio settings and check the box for “Original Sound for Musicians” outlined in red.
Then, check the boxes for “High Fidelity Music Mode” and “Echo Cancellation” that appear below.
Step3: Turning on Original Sound
The third step is after entering a Zoom meeting. Click where it says “Original Sound for Musicians: Off” at the top of the screen.
After clicking, if it says “Original Sound for Musicians: On,” you are all set. Please note that this setting needs to be done each time.
Depending on your PC and equipment environment, this setting may not be necessary, so please be careful.
